Yesterday, my very first students graduated high school.
It was bittersweet.
They might have slept through half of this year, but we had a lot of fun. It’s sad to think that I’ll never see their faces in the classroom again.
I always have a tough time with big goodbyes. Graduating high school and graduating university were bittersweet for me. The big life changes, you know? In those last moments together, it’s tough to think about a bright future when all you can think of is never seeing them again. They’ve taught me a lot during a very sensitive and unusual time in my life.
Fortunately, with another year in Korea on the horizon, I know I’ll see my favorites again. Above are Sarah, Erin and my co-teacher Ben.
